Sid Palas is the owner and operator of DevOps Directive LLC, a software consultancy through which he helps individuals and technology companies build better software systems as both an advisor and practitioner. He also writes about cloud technologies at https://devopsdirective.com/ and produces technical video content on YouTube.
Previously, Mr. Palas worked as a software engineer at PicnicHealth, a health technology startup working to structure the world’s medical data to make it useful. In that role, he was responsible for the development of infrastructure as code and established the company’s first system for executing controlled studies of inter-processor labeling agreement.
Prior to that role, Mr. Palas served in a variety of research engineering roles at Lockheed Martin, building technologies spanning a diverse set of domains including advanced manufacturing, high energy lasers, and signal processing.
Mr. Palas earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University and his Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
